Valeria FAPPANI

Valeria Fappani is a PhD student at the School of International Studies (SIS) of the University of Trento. She is researching the EU — China relations in the context of trade and human rights. 
She has earned a Post-Graduate Certificate from the Italian Trade Agency in Export Management and Digitalisation. Valeria is also an alumna of the SIS, where she previously completed the "Master’s Degree in European and International Studies".  She also earned a BA in Foreign Languages (English and Chinese) from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, Brescia. 
Valeria has extensive experience in research communication, working mainly on conferences and webinars. Together with her MA classmates, she organised the conference series "L'Europa e i Giovani: Istruzioni d'Uso" (Europe and the Younger Generations: A Toolkit). Valeria also acted as a senior event coordinator for the NGO European Guanxi.  Her events addressed the inclusion of youngsters in the discussion on the EU, China, and their reciprocal relations.
Valeria has experience as a professional translator working with firms and volunteering as a subtitler for the TED Conferences Organization.
