“Pigreco” Laboratory flume

“Pigreco” Laboratory flume: located in the Hydraulic laboratory of the Faculty of Engineering is a 24 m long, 3 m wide can be filled with different sediments. Experiments can be performed varying slope water and sediment discharge, the laser profiler capture the bed topography.

  • 2 Water pressure gauges with data-logger STS© 64 DN-L to measure water level (precision ±0.1 mm);
  • Water pressure gauge with data-logger STS© 70 DN-L to measure water level (precision ±0.1 mm) and temperature gauge (± 0.1 °C);

Water pressure gauge with data-logger HOBO©-Onset© stand-alone water-proof  not fully compensated. Range - Water Level: 0-9m; Temperature: -20°C to 50°C. Resolution - Water Level: ±0.21 cm; Temperature: ±0.1°C at 20°C;

 

Temperature Logger

HOBO©-Onset© StowAway® TidbiT™ Weatherproof & Waterproof Temperature data-loggers. Temperature Range: -5°C to +37°C, Best Resolution @ 10°C: 0.16°C;

 

Hydraulic current meter

Hydraulic current meter SEBA© Current Meter M1 and revolution counter to measure water velocity. Range: 0.025 m/s ÷ 10m/s;

 

 

 

Electromagnetic current meter

Electromagnetic current meter SEBA© to measure water velocity .
Measuring range: -5 to +5 m/s. Zero Stability: <0.005 m/s. Accuracy: ±0.5% reading plus zero stability;

 

 

Total station

Total station Leica© TCR705 for topography measurements and GPS positioning;

 

 

 

 

Conductimers 

2 conductimeters WTW© 340i/SET with electromagnetic probes to measure temperature and conductivity. Range: conductivity (1 µS/cm ÷ 2 S/cm), temperature (-5°C ÷ 80°C);

 

 

Radar

Radar tool to measure superficial water velocity of stream current;

 

 

 

 

ADCP (Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler)

ADCP (Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler), RD Instruments©. This instrument is able to measure the 3 components of the velocity along the water column, providing the water velocity profile in time. Frequency: 600kHz; standard deviation: 1 mm/s. Maximum depth:7÷8 m;

 

 

Temperature probe

Temperature probe Handylog DK500. Range: -20°C e +80°C; accuracy: ±0.05°C. Available memory: 64000 measures;

 

 

 

Digital high-resolution cameras

Three digital high-resolution cameras for photografic monitoring (picture: Monte Prat, Tagliamento River) and laboratory purposes;
