The University of Trento is a member of the European Consortium of Innovative Universities (ECIU) which brings together research-intensive universities with a collective emphasis on innovation, creativity and positive social impact.
The ECIU Research Mobility Fund program allows research staff and PhD students from the University of Trento to spend a mobility period at one of the Consortium partners to establish or strengthen collaboration within a specific research area.

Aalborg University (Denmark), Dublin City University (Ireland), Hamburg University of Technology (Germany), Institut National des Sciences Appliquées (France), Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania), Linköping University (Sweden), Tampere University (Finland), Tecnológico de Monterrey (Mexico), Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Spain), University of Aveiro (Portugal), University of Stavanger (Norway), University of Twente (Netherlands).

Duration

At the discretion of the participant based on their research project.
For mobility lasting more than 30 days it is necessary to obtain the approval of your Department Council (Article 5, paragraph 3, of the University of Trento Missions Regulations).

Financing

Expenses are covered on the basis of the University of Trento Missions Regulations up to a maximum of € 5,000 per person and per trip regardless of destination and duration.

Application

You are invited to express your interest in a mobility period at one of the ECIU Consortium partner universities by sending an email to the International Relations Division (international [at] unitn.it) and attaching the completed application form authorized by your Supervisor or the Director of your Department or Center.

Selection

Applications will be considered that are accompanied by a research project that already includes prior acceptance by the host university. Applications will be considered until all available funds are used. 
This mobility is not compatible with other periods of leave for study or research already authorized by the respective UniTrento Departments or Centers.
