The Erasmus+ Programme allows UniTrento academic staff to spend a period abroad in a partner university. A contribution for travel and living expenses is provided.
The opportunities are different depending on the geographical area where the partner University is located: Programme Countries (European Destinations) and Partner Countries (Extra-EU Countries).
Erasmus+ Indire National Agency acts as a bridge for the European Commission.

Programme countries
Mobility for teaching (and training)
Mobility for teaching allows UniTrento academic teaching staff ("personale docente strutturato") to spend a period of teaching in a partner university. Partner University must have signed an agreement with UniTrento (usually almost an year before). Teaching activity can be matched with training activity. Training periods for teaching staff that allow them to develop pedagogical and curriculum design skills are strongly supported.
Duration: from two days to two months, except 2 travelling days. Mobility for teaching duration is usually about a week, but it should be defined with the host university.
Teaching hours: at least 8 hours; 8 hours/week. In case of combined periods (teaching + training), teaching hours are halved.
Funding: all the expenses are covered thanks to European funds and UniTrento cofinancing, on the basis of UniTrento internal rules (Regolamento Missioni di Ateneo).
All the academic teaching staff applications, previously approved by the competent Department, are funded. Each candidate is allowed to apply for only one mobility per year.

Preparatory and monitoring visits
The Erasmus+ Programme offers UniTrento academic teaching staff ("personale docente strutturato") the possibility to spend a period to prepare new agreements or collaborations (preparatory visit), as well as to supervise the mobility of students (monitoring visit) in a partner university.
Duration: the duration is maximum one week, including travelling days.
Funding: all travel expenses are covered thanks to European funds and UniTrento cofinancing, on the basis of UniTrento internal rules (Regolamento Missioni di Ateneo).
All the academic teaching staff applications, previously approved by the competent Department, are funded.

Partner countries (Extra-EU Countries): International Credit Mobility (ICM)
Mobility for teaching allows UniTrento academic staff to spend a period of teaching in a partner university. Partner university must have signed Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility agreement with UniTrento and the financial contribute for outgoing mobility must have been defined in advance. European funds are requested on a yearly bases by International Relations Division according to departments’ applications.
Duration: from five to eight days (2 travelling days admitted in addition).
Teaching hours: at least 8 hours for 5 days mobility programme, minimum 10 hours for 10 days mobility programme
Funding: European Commission guarantees 160 €/day (for ICM 2017) or 180€/day (for ICM 2018) (travelling days are counted in the total amount) and a flat-rate contribution for the travel, depending on distance. The expenses not covered by European funds are covered by UniTrento cofinancing up to 1000 €.
The costs are covered on the basis of UniTrento internal rules (Regolamento Missioni di Ateneo).
Application: all the positions for the projects ICM 2017 and ICM 2018 have been already assigned.
