Health and safety training

Health and safety training is mandatory for each enrolled PhD student.

Each operational site the PhD student has been assigned is responsible for the training, according to the specific internal rules and procedures.

For PhD students whose operational site is Trento and UNITN, the training is organized as follows:

1. General Course

Each PhD student must attend the General course (Forge, 4 hours self-paced course)

2. Specific Courses

  • Theoretical PhD students must attend the Specific course Low Risk (Forbas, 5 hours - self-paced course, online, valid 5 years)
  • Experimental PhD students must attend the Specific course Medium Risk (In-Lab Safety, 8 hours - in-person course - please check the calendar of the course on the dedicated Moodle website)

Access to the courses is from the dedicated page.

All PhD students are automatically enrolled in one course or another. If you don't find your name please contact uff.didatticaonline [at] unitn.it

Individuals who have already acquired a comparable certificate for medium-risk situations can submit it through the provided link and await confirmation

In addition to the courses you must follow as soon as possible, we ask you to fill in (in collaboration with your supervisor) and send back the forms you will receive via email (risk identification form and DPI form). The forms are also available for download at the bottom of this page.

Health Surveillance

If the performance of doctoral activities requires the activation of health surveillance, it is agreed that the hosting University/Institution will be responsible for conducting the medical examination to assess the fitness for the specific task of the student, subject to any specific agreements with the other affiliated institution.
