The Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) is a certification that all Institutes of Higher Education must acquire if they intend to participate in any Erasmus+ Program activities, from the mobility of individuals to cooperation projects focusing on innovation and best practices.

To receive the ECHE, universities must apply to the European Commission. In addition to guaranteeing respect for the fundamental principles of the Program, applicants are required to include a detailed description of their international strategy within the Erasmus Policy Statement (EPS) section.
The ECHE can be withdrawn in the case of non-compliance or violation of the established regulations.

UniTrento previously obtained Charter n° 29348-LA-1-2014-1-IT-E4AKA1-ECHE for the 2014-2020 period, thereby earning the right to participate in the Erasmus+ Program and to submit an application for funding to the Erasmus+ INDIRE National Agency for decentralized activities, as well as to the European Commission for centralized activities.
In Febrary 2021, in response to the Application n.101014693, the University of Trento was awarded with the ECHE for the period 2021-2027, ensuring its participation in activities within the new Call (publication forthcoming).

The 2014-2020 and 2021-2027 ECHE and EPS for UniTrento are available in the Download Box on this page.
