University Corridors for Refugees
Testo

Since 2023, the University of Trento has joined the University Corridors for Refugees – UNICORE project, promoted by several Italian universities with the support of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Caritas Italiana, Diaconia Valdese, Centro Astalli and other partners.

Through so-called university corridors, the project aims to improve study opportunities for refugees residing in African and Asian countries, enabling them to reach Italy safely to pursue their university studies.

The University of Trento annually selects a young refugee living in one of the participating countries who holds a bachelor's degree and intends to enroll in a master's degree program in English.

The project is implemented through a partnership with local associations, in particular Centro Astalli Trento, Caritas Diocesana and Associazione Gr.I.S. Trentino ODV.
