If you have been nominated:
- you will receive a notification indicating in which semester your exchange will take place, the receiving department and the study area.
- you’ll receive an email about the application process with a link to the online application between two months to two weeks prior to the application deadline.
Application deadlines for exchanges for study purposes:
- 15 May, for applications for the fall semester and full year;
- 15 October, for applications for the spring or summer semester exchanges.
Application deadlines for exchanges for research purposes:
- at least three months before the expected date of arrival in Trento.
The complete and updated offer of courses, in Italian and in English, is available in the online catalogue from June.
Courses taught in English are grouped by subject areas:
- Science and Technology Area - English-taught courses 2023-2024;
- Psychology and Cognitive Science Area - English-taught courses 2023-2024;
- Social Sciences and Humanities Area - English-taught courses 2023-2024.
Enter the course title into the Unit field paying particular attention to the required skills, which are mandatory for accessing the courses.
For admission to courses taught in English, please consider the specific language requirements (if any) indicated in the course lists.
The minimum recommended language level for exchange students coming to UniTrento in the frame of international programmes is A2 to attend courses held in Italian, and B1 for courses held in English (on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) but some Departments may have additional requirements (see below).
To attend courses taught in English at the:
- Department of Economics and Management;
- Faculty of Law;
- School of International Studies;
You must have a B2 level knowledge of English on the CEFR.
To attend courses taught in Italian:
- at the Department of Economics you must have a CEFR B1 level knowledge of Italian.
- at the Faculty of Law you must have a CEFR A2 level knowledge of Italian (except for some courses which require B2 level, see the relevant information in the course list).
To meet these mandatory language requirements, the University of Trento accepts internationally-recognized certificates (e.g. TOEFL iBT Certificate, Cambridge Certificate, IELTS Certificate, etc.) and certificates provided by the Home Institution (i.e. University Language Centre or language professors) provided the level of the language knowledge is clearly stated.
- An Introduction to Italian Culture;
- Italy's Literary Culture;
- Italian courses at different levels provided by the Language Center – CLA;
- Interdisciplinary and innovation-centered courses to strengthen your soft skills in the area of Innovation & Entrepreneurship offered by the School of Innovation (SoI).
Codes, titles, semester and credits of the chosen courses are mandatory data. In case of mobility for research purposes enter the main topic/title of the research, the UniTrento supervisor and the number of credits as agreed with the supervisor.
The Learning Agreement must be pre-approved by the Home University, UniTrento will return it prior to the beginning of the mobility duly approved. Please note that Erasmus+ students (from European countries only) are asked to choose 60% of the courses in the Department reported in the nomination notification.
