The double degree or dual degree programme is an integrated study programme between two or more universities located in different countries.

Thanks to the over 40 agreements that UniTrento has established since 1997, you can spend part of your academic career at your home institution and part of it, from 1 to 4 semesters, at the University of Trento. Once you have successfully completed your studies, you will be awarded two degrees.

In the framework of this programme, UniTrento awards two types of degrees. A Laurea, which is a first-cycle degree, at Bachelor's level, and is awarded at the end of an undergraduate programme. And a Laurea magistrale, which is awarded at the end of a Master's course.

A double degree is always a valuable asset. Companies and organizations seek international and open-minded candidates, who are capable of working in multicultural teams and facing new global challenges.

The most common reasons students choose this exciting option are:

  • to expand their education;
  • to master a foreign language;
  • to gain a deeper understanding of a different culture.

Each year, partner universities provide UniTrento with a list of students who satisfy the requirements to participate in the double degree programme. Sometimes, applicants are selected by a consortium of partners.

Contact the international office of your university to find out if you are eligible.

At UniTrento, international student mobility is organized in two areas: Social Sciences and Humanities and Science and Technology. The successful applicants are contacted by their international mobility office and receive all the necessary information before leaving for Trento.
