Neurodiversity support service
Testo

The Neurodiversity support service, as part of the University's Psychological counselling and Inclusion services, aims to promote the integration of neurodivergent people into the university community.

The service is open to all neuro-divergent students of the University of Trento.
If you need psychological support, help with study or want to meet other people to share your interests and your way of perceiving the world, contact us.

The service provides:

  • tutoring, to enable the students to acquire the skills they need in university life
  • group meetings, to give the participants the opportunity to share experiences and best practices
  • individual listening and discussion sessions, to talk about the difficulties you may encounter during your studies
  • meetings with family members, to inform them about the progress of neurodivergent students
  • training for faculty members and tutors on how neurodivergent people learn and behave
  • individual meetings to establish which adjustments and equipment may be useful for students in order to take exams at university in accordance with the relevant legislation
  • individual meetings to review and integrate the adjustments and equipment granted to students.

Make an appointment to define the adjustments and equipment you can use during the exams:

  1. complete the Declaration of disability, DSA and other special needs and upload your certificates (e.g. certificates, diagnostic reports, other documents). Your declaration will be stored in your reserved area of Esse3 in Segreteria > Dichiarazione disabilità e DSA, for the entire duration of your studies
  2. go to the declaration page and fill in the form "Informazioni preliminari al colloquio - Sportello Neurodiversità" (Preliminary information for the interview - Neurodiversity service)
  3. log in with your @unitn credentials to the dedicated online community and watch the video for the request for adjustments and equipment
  4. email [email protected] to make an appointment for a meeting.

Meetings can be held online or in person:

  • in Trento, in via Tommaso Gar 16/2 at the offices of the Inclusion service for the student community
  • in Rovereto, in via Matteo del Ben 5/B at the Observation, Diagnosis and Education Laboratory of the Department of Psychology and Cognitive Science.
