ECIU short-term mobility
Testo

The ECIU offers educational learning opportunities (ELOs) characterised by challenges and micro modules which vary in length from one or two days to a few weeks, up to a whole semester. They can consist of a brief physical exchange period, or be offered as a blended programme or exclusively online.

Through these challenges and micro modules, you will have the opportunity to enjoy enriching experiences, contribute to real social change and work with companies and public bodies to resolve concrete problems raised by the communities and organisations involved. You will also be able to enjoy an international experience and build your network of contacts as you work with other students, academic staff, experts and representatives from the business world and organisations from various fields. As well as building your intercultural skills, sharing practices and ideas, developing your problem-solving and team-working abilities, you will have the chance to put the solutions proposed into practice, creating new services, products, research opportunities, start-ups and spin-offs.

Depending on the rules of your course of study, the educational activities undertaken abroad as part of the programme which are agreed before departure, and certificates issued by the host university, will be recognised by UniTrento at the end of the mobility period, as will additional credits and other educational or teaching activities undertaken by the student.

How to participate
Testo

Visit the webpage engage.eciu.eu and choose your challenge or micro module. In the Information section for each opportunity you will find details about the project, including deadlines, requirements to participate and the selection procedure.

The basic requirements are:

  • to be enrolled at UniTrento in the third year of a bachelor’s degree (or the third year onwards of a single-cycle master’s degree) up to a doctoral course.

Occasional opportunities may be open to first and second year students of a three-year degree; in these cases, the organising university sets the criteria for participation.

  • possession of at least a B2 (QCER) level of English.

If you are already participating in another mobility programme abroad, you can not participate in the challenges and micro modules, either in person or virtually. However, you may participate if the activity is offered in the university where you already are, but no additional funding will be available.

Participation in physical and virtual challenges, and micro modules, must be concluded at least one month before the end of your university career.
