You can enrol in a bachelor's or single-cycle master's programme if:
- you have secondary school qualification (high school diploma or equivalent) awarded after at least 12 years in education,
- you have passed the admission test (TOLC, test of UniTrento, national programme test)
The CISIA (TOLC) online tests are tools designed for the orientation and evaluation of knowledge upon entry to university and are also required for access to certain study programmes with a limited number of places.
Choose the UniTrento course of study you wish to enrol in and read the admission call carefully. The admission call for each course gives details about the criteria for score validity and type of TOLC required.
The calls are available on the sites for each course of study.
- create an account on the CISIA site;
- login to the CISIA TEST area and follow the instructions to book a test
- take the TOLC test.
Each participant can take each of the TOLC tests, by whatever delivery method, not more than once in a calendar month regardless of which organising university centre is chosen.
Pass the TOLC test by 12th March 2025 (first session) or by 9th May 2025 (second session) in one of the test centres or online sessions (TOLC @casa).
Test dates, delivery methods and deadlines for enrolment are published on the CISIA website.
UniTrento only considers valid the highest score you have achieved between January 2024 and the deadline indicated in the admission call.
From 1st January 2025, payment required by CISIA is 35 euro and not 30 euros as indicated in the admission calls.
The application for admission has two phases:
- create a UniTrento account: if this is the first time you have accessed the UniTrento site, you must access it with your digital identity (using SPID or CIE or another method indicated in the login page and in the admission call) at the registration for admission to UniTrento page
- Apply for admission to the competition for your chosen degree course by 12th March 2025 (first session) or between 7th April and 9th May 2025 (second session)
- Login to registration for admission to UniTrento again
- Complete the personal information, if necessary
- Choose ‘registration for admission’ and on the ‘admission competitions’ page choose the ranking list for the course you wish to enrol in.
You can also register before taking the TOLC provided it is taken in the period of validity indicated in the admission call. You will not have to insert the score as it will be acquired directly by the University of Trento through CISIA.
To register for more than one course, return to the ‘admission competitions’ page and choose a new competition. Repeat this step for all the courses you wish to register for.
Once the registration procedure is complete, you will receive an email of confirmation.
These last two steps (phase 2: pass the TOLC test and phase 3: apply for admission) are both mandatory in order to access the ranking list and then be able to enrol at the university.
You can do these in any order.
Check the ranking list for your course: the ranking lists will be published on the sites of the individual courses of study on 24th March 2025 (first session) and on 20th May 2025 (second session).
If there are any free places after the pre-enrolment deadline, additional rankings will be published.
If there are any free places after the qualifications confirmation deadline, additional rankings will be published.
If you are indicated as ‘eligible for admission’ in an initial or subsequent ranking list, you must pre-enrol by the deadline as indicated on the publication of the ranking list: if you fail to pre-enrol or do not respect the deadline, you will lose your place.
If you are admitted in the first or second session, in order to complete your enrolment in the course of study you must confirm your high school qualification between 7th and 18th July 2025.
The method for confirming the qualification will be updated by 7th July 2025.
If you do not confirm your qualification by the deadline, you will lose your place.
Comparative European and International Legal Studies (CEILS)
The degree course in Comparative European and International Legal Studies (CEILS) does not use TOLC tests, but it is necessary to pass an admission test administered directly by UniTrento.
If you want to enrol in this course you must therefore register for the competition and the admission test administered by UniTrento, following the steps indicated on the website of the course of study.
