Teaching staff can also participate in exchanges at partner universities through the European Erasmus+ programme. Depending on the agreements UniTrento has with its partner universities, the destinations are divided into Programme countries (EU countries) and Partner countries (non-EU countries).
The Erasmus+ National Agency, Indire, acts as the intermediary with the European Commission.

Participants must usually undertake at least 8 hours teaching during a stay of between 2 and 7 days. If the exchange combines teaching and training, the minimum number of teaching hours are halved. For longer periods, consult the "Step by Step" guide.
Funding based on mission rules to cover all expenses is available thanks to the European contribution and co-funding from UniTrento. All applications received which have been approved by a department or centre are funded.
There is an annual limit of one exchange for each member of staff within the staff mobility programme.
