If you are a citizen of a country outside the EU and live outside of Italy, you can apply for scholarships awarded by UniTrento based on merit and programme of study.
If you reside permanently in Italy, regardless of your citizenship, consider the scholarships awarded by Opera Universitaria through an annual call.
UniTrento scholarships
The yearly amount of the scholarship is 8500 Euros for female students enrolled in STEM programmes, and 7200 Euros for all others programme. There is a limited number of scholarships available. If you are a scholarship holder, for that year you are also exempted from paying tuition fees.
Scholarships are paid in two instalments:
- the first, by December of the first year of enrolment;
- the second, by May of the first year of enrolment, provided that you have earned at least 50% of the credits required by your course of study in the January and February exam sessions.
If you do not meet this requirement, you have the possibility of obtaining the second instalment in October provided that you obtain 42 credits (36 for courses in Italian) by 10 August.
In September, the University checks the number of credits you have earned by 10 August and confirms or not the scholarship for the following academic year.
If fail to satisfy this requirement, you will have to return part of the scholarship and pay the tuition fees for the following academic year according to the amounts in the table below.
The maximum duration of the scholarship for a master's programme is 2 years and for an undergraduate programme it is 3 years.
