Applications are welcome from TUM students who:
- have completed 60 ECTS at TUM;
- have submitted a motivation letter;
- have B1 level of English for the course in Materials Engineering and B2 for the course in Mechatronics and MISE.
Applicants can choose one of the following courses offered by the Department of Industrial Engineering:
- Materials Engineering;
- Mechatronics Engineering;
- Management and Industrial Systems Engineering.
The programme runs for at least 3 semesters. The studies leading to the Double Degree will total 180 credits including the final thesis. The whole duration of the programme is usually 3 years. Students will earn at least 90 credits from courses at UniTrento.
Courses are taught in English.
Students participating in the programme pay their tuition fees at TUM. Students must also purchase 3 tax stamps of 16 euro each for administrative procedures (available from post offices, banks and tobacconists).
The final thesis shall be co-supervised by professors of both institutions and is normally discussed at TUM.
The thesis committee should include a member from the partner institution.
The students obtain two separate degrees:
- a Laurea magistrale (Master's Degree) in Materials Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering or Management and Industrial Systems Engineering from UniTrento; and
- a Master of Science from TUM.
