Exclusion from a PhD course requires a deliberation by the teaching board and may happen in the following cases:

• insufficient results in ongoing evaluations during the academic year;
• refusal by the teaching board to admit the student to the following year of the course;
• work commitments undertaken without authorisation from the teaching board;
• unjustified and prolonged absences or prolonged unavailability;
• specific cases included in the the implementation regulations for each PhD course
