Admission to specialization schools is by national competition. The admission calls can be found on the pages of each school.
The national call (Bando di ammissione dei medici alle scuole di specializzazione di area sanitaria) is published every year on the website of the Ministry of University and Research, on the page dedicated to specialization schools.
To comply with ministerial provisions, Medical specialization schools number their academic years one year behind university academic years.
The specialization schools offered by the University of Trento are:
Enrolment information
Once candidates have been assigned to a school, they can enrol by filling out the online application form.
The following deadlines apply:
- from 23 to 29 September: candidates choose a Specialization School;
- 30 September: assignments are published;
- from 30 September to 6 October (12.00, noon): enrolment;
- 1 November: start of classes.
1st phase of the special session of the call:
from 9 to 10 October 2025: choice of the Specialization School;
10 October 2025: publication of assignments;
from 10 to 14 October (13:00): enrolment.
2nd phase of the special session of the call:
from 16 to 17 October 2025: choice of the Specialization School;
17 October 2025: publication of assignments;
from 17 to 21 October (13:00): enrolment.
3rd phase of the special session of the call:
from 23 to 24 October 2025: choice of the Specialization School;
24 October 2025: publication of assignments;
from 24 to 28 October (13:00): enrolment.

Fees
Tuition fees:
- between 310 and 1,700 euros, based on your ISEE (means test);
- without ISEE (no means testing): 1,700 euros (maximum amount).
Additional costs:
- regional fee for the right to study (TDS): from 130 to 170 euros based on your ISEE;
- tax stamp for registration: 16 euros.

Deadlines
First instalment (at the time of registration):
- tax stamp: 16,00 euros
- provincial fee for the right to study: 130,00 euros
- advance payment of university tuition fees: 150,00 euros.
Total: 296,00 euros
Second instalment (by 30 November 2025):
- remaining amount of the provincial fee for the right to study (as appropriate);
- 50% of tuition fees based on your ISEE.
Third instalment (31 March 2026):
- 50% of tuition fees based on your ISEE.
