UniTrento, as a member of ECIU, the European Consortium of Innovative Universities, supports its teaching and research staff interested in carrying out training projects based on the challenge-based learning method. 

The University of Trento supports the organization of challenge-based learning opportunities through an annual call that makes available up to 5,000 euros for each project proposal.

The activities of the project can take place:

• in person;
• online in synchronous mode;
• in blended mode: partially online and partially in-person, following the Erasmus+ rules for short-term mobility (minimum 5 days of in-person activity + online activity);
• in hybrid format: in-person for students of the University of Trento, synchronous online for students of other Eciu universities, with the possibility of including an optional part in-person.

Proposals for activities to be carried out in the first semester of the 2026/27 academic year may be submitted until 15 May 2026.
