You can enrol in a master's degree if:
- you have a degree, including one obtained under the regulations prior to Ministerial Decree 509/99, or other equivalent qualification, also if obtained abroad;
- you have the curricular requirements for the course you wish to enrol in and adequate personal preparation.
To enrol in the course, an assessment is normally required to establish whether you have the qualifications and preparation to access the course.
It normally consists of a verification of the knowledge and skills you have acquired in your educational path so far, based on the field of study (degree class), the exams passed and their contents, language skills and any other experiences. Depending on the course, it may also include an interview, an exam or test, or other forms of evaluation.
The requirements, methods and deadlines are published on the web page for each course, available on the Lauree magistrali page.
Restricted access master’s degrees have a limit on the number of students who may enrol each year.
To enrol, you must participate in a selection regulated by an admission call.
The selection may include verification of the admission requirements and your personal preparation, a written or oral examination or other or combined methods of assessment.
Many courses offered are in English and have a number of places reserved for non-Europeans who are resident outside of Italy.
The calls, methods and deadlines for admission are published on the webpage of each course, available on the Lauree magistrali page.
