On-campus accommodation
Accommodation is guaranteed only to non EU international degree-seeking students. If you have been admitted to a degree programme the International Mobility Office will send you an email with the link to book accommodation before your arrival.
If you are an exchange student or an European degree-seeking student you can find accommodation information in the sections below.
Accommodation for EU degree-seeking students
Degree-seeking students from EU member States can apply for Opera Universitaria accommodation through a call that is usually published around June. You will have to submit a means test calculation (ISEE).
Accommodation for PhD students
Accommodation in Opera Universitaria facilities is granted only for the 1st PhD year (that is until 31st October). The International Mobility office will contact you with information on how to book the accommodation.
Your housing contract will not be extended beyond that date and you'll have to find private accommodation.
Off-campus accommodation
International students who come to UniTrento as 'free-movers' or trainees, exchange students and students coming to UniTrento with their families should rent a room or apartment from a private landlord or agency because of the limited offer of accommodation options on campus.
Please consider that UniTrento does not provide any assistance in finding private accommodation.
Be aware that in order to sign a private accommodation contract you will be asked for your Italian "codice fiscale" (i.e tax code/fiscal code). The International Mobility office will provide you with your tax code before arrival.
If you are going to apply for a stay permit, for which you have to provide proof of accommodation, consider that home owners have 1 month (after the beginning of the contract) to register the housing contract at Agenzia delle Entrate, so plan accordingly.
Below are some websites that provide housing services. You should verify the reliability and accuracy of the ads before confirming any payment or registration.
Beware of phishing and scams. Ads posted in FB groups, Telegram groups or similar may not be reliable, you should visit the place in person or ask someone in Trento/Rovereto do this on your behalf.
Please note that if you receive a housing contract in English, that contract is fake, as all housing contracts must be in Italian and registered at the Italian tax agency ("Agenzia delle Entrate").
