With decree no. 1062 of 2021, the Ministry of University and Research allocated the new ESF REACT-EU resources to fund research contracts on innovation and green related topics. In the three-year period 2022-2024, the University of Trento was able to award 18 research contracts (RTD-A) co-funded by the National Operational Programme PON Research and Innovation 2014-2020 (new Axis IV "Education and research for recovery - REACT-EU", Actions IV.4 and IV.6 - Research contracts on innovation and green related topics). The projects carried out within the National Operational Programme are created in close collaboration with companies, and contract holders agree to spend a period of time working with them.

At the end of the three-year period, the projects have been completed and the objectives achieved.
