The Hochschule Geisenheim University is a small university situated in an immense green campus near the Rhine River and the vineyards of Rheingau, at Geisenheim (11.533 inhabitants), in the Hesse region. In this compact and protected context, double degree students will find a welcoming atmosphere in a strongly international environment and excellent career prospects after graduation.
Students, teaching staff and researchers work on interdisciplinary themes, and on both current and future global problems, such as climate change, food security and the responsible use of resources.
Innovative robotics in the vineyard, avantguard production processes and traditional winery techniques are all part of the course of study in Viticulture and Enology at HGU.
The priority of the teaching staff is to prepare students in a precise and practical way to deal with the challenges of professional life, by providing them with the know-how for the cultivation, production and distribution of high-quality wines. The internships and research projects offer the chance to acquire experience of working in an international context, while the programme allows the direct transfer of research results to the field.
