Who can apply?

The programme is aimed at UniTrento students enrolled in the first year of the Master’s programme in Finance (LM16) with

  • A first level degree in the economics or business field awarded by an Italian university (or a degree from a foreign university recognised as equivalent to the Italian qualification);
  • Completion of at least two exams of the first semester of the first year, equal to at least 12 ECTS;
  • A minimum C1 level of English. See the admissions requirements page for a list of the international certificates accepted by EUR and eventual exemptions.

These requirements will be evaluated during the application procedure for the UniTrento call which is published annually in February. Always check the correctness of the information and any updates in the UniTrento call and on the partner's website.

Applicants must:

  • be correctly enrolled in the second year of the Master’s programme in Finance;
  • Have obtained confirmation of admission from the School of Economics at EUR (applications must be submitted by the 1st May).

This requirement will be checked before departure, approximately between August and the beginning of September.

The host university reserves the right to require further language tests or evaluations of the candidates and may request additional documentation.

Duration, organisation and tuition fees

The programme runs for 2 semesters (60 credits).

To apply for this destination, you must complete the online application form following the instructions and by the deadline specified in the admission call, available on the double degree introduction page.

Candidates can apply for accommodation at one of the student halls. An early start in the search for accommodation is recommended. Further information is available on the Housing for International Students page.

The study plan must be agreed with the UniTrento academic supervisor (Professor Marco Bee) and with the supervisor at the partner university. Credits earned will be recognised as substituting the equivalent courses of the second year and course internship. 

The courses are taught in English.

Participants in the double degree programme must pay the tuition fees both at UniTrento and at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. The sum (which is different for students from EU/EEA and for non-UE students) for the 2023-2024 academic year is 2,314 Euro.

Students who are citizens of a EU/EEA country can request a scholarship from the Dutch government. Participants are also eligible for a scholarship from UniTrento.

Thesis and qualifications

The Master’s thesis must be carried out at the Erasmus University Rotterdam.

At the end of the double degree programme students will be awarded:

  • an MSc in Economics and Business with a specialisation in Financial Economics - 1 year duration from the Erasmus University Rotterdam;
  • a Laurea magistrale in Finance from UniTrento.
