Ambitious and agile, this is the slogan that UniBremen uses to describe itself. Of medium size, with its 20,000 students, Bremen is part of the YUFE - Young Universities for the Future of Europe Network with 9 other European universities for the development of a new university model. The university promotes diversity and has always encouraged innovative ideas and the independence of young researchers who here can find a stimulating and welcoming environment.

Who can apply?

Applications are welcome from UniTrento students enrolled in the first year of the Master's degree in Management and International Management who:

  • have earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Economics with at least 9 credits in statistics and 18 credits in Economics modules (such as Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Finance, Innovation Economics), and a final mark of at least 2,7 (not less than 90/110 on the Italian grading system);
  • have already obtained at least 45 ECTS on their degree;
  • have a weighted average of at least 24/30;
  • have a B1 level of German (from Goethe Institut, unless your bachelor was totally in German);
  • have a B2 level of English (TOEFL 72 points, IELTS Volume 5.5 or higher, Cambridge Certificate, unless your bachelor was totally in English).

These requirements will be evaluated during the application procedure, between August and early September.

Duration, organisation and tuition fees

The mobility lasts 2 semesters (60 credits) from October.

The study plan must be agreed and approved with both the supervisors. It may be useful to take certain second-year exams during your first year (verify if this is the case with your supervisor).

The courses are taught in German and English.

Students participating in the double degree programme pay their tuition fees to UniTrento. UniBremen requires a mandatory contribution for supplementary services (which includes student discounts for public transportation) of approximately 380 euro for each semester.

Thesis and qualifications

The master's thesis can be written at the University of Bremen or at the University of Trento. A summary of at least 20 pages must be provided to the partner university in the relevant language or in English.

At the end of the programme, the students obtain:

  • a Masterabschluss BWL from the Fachbereich Wirtschaftswissenschaft from UniBremen, and

  • a Laurea magistrale in Management or International Management from UniTrento.
