UPV has obtained excellent positions in national and international rankings: best Polytechnic in Spain (400-500 range in the world) according to the ARWU Ranking (Jiao Tong Shanghai University), among the best 150 universities in the world under 50 years old according to Times Higher Education, and among the top 3 universities for civil engineering in Spain according to "El Mundo".
The campus is a small city within the city, with large pedestrian areas and lots of greenery, close to the sea and the historic centre (there are excellent bus, tram and cycle path connections), equipped with all the services necessary for university life: technical libraries, a supermarket, a travel agency, a medical centre and pharmacy, sports facilities, a copy shop, banks and ATMs, cafes and restaurants.
A double degree always has additional value. Companies and organisations look for employees with an international outlook and a multidisciplinary approach who are able to work in multicultural teams and face ever-changing global challenges: these are the engineers of the future.
Furthermore, graduates of the Màster en Ingeniería de Caminos, Canales y Puertos , programme can directly access the engineering profession both in Spain and in Spanish-speaking Latin American countries.
Applications are welcome from UniTrento students enrolled in the first year of the master's degree in Civil Engineering with an A2 level of Spanish and a B2 level of English who:
- have obtained all the credits of the first year of the master's degree;
- have a weighted grade average of at least 25/30.
Always check the correctness of the information and any updates on the UniTrento call and on the partner's website.
The programme runs for 2 semesters (60 credits) extendable by one semester to catch up and write the thesis.
UniTrento and UPV decide jointly on the possible study plan of the participants and on the optional courses. Students are invited to attend an additional semester in order to catch up if necessary and carry out the final project including the writing of the thesis.
Most courses are taught in Spanish.
Students participating in the double degree programme are required to pay university fees only to UniTrento.
The thesis (15 ECTS), in English, must be prepared under the supervision of professors from both institutions and discussed at the UPV following the procedures valid for Spanish students.
The final exam grade is converted into thirtieths.
At the end of the double degree programme, students obtain:
- a Laurea magistrale in Engineering from UniTrento;
- a Màster en Ingeniería de Caminos, Canales y Puertos da ETSICCP.
