Why UAI?
The students holding a bachelor’s degree awarded by UniTrento who choose to participate in the programme will obtain, in addition to the Master's double degree, the Chilean qualification to practice as a psychologist.
You can participate for 1 or 2 semesters and carry out the Internship (TPV) in Chile.
Who can apply?
Applications are welcome from UniTrento students enrolled in the first year of the Master's degree in Psychology.
Always check the correctness of the information and any updates on the UniTrento call and on the website of UAI.
Applicants must have:
- B2 level certificate of Spanish or B2 level certificate of English (you should also have good knowledge of the Spanish language given that several courses and academic activities will be taught in Spanish).
Checks will be carried out to verify that applicants satisfy the requirements (for more information read the call).
In order to actually start the mobility abroad, you must have at least 30 ECTS credits already
registered in Esse3 by the end of the summer exam session (June/July 2026) with a minimum GPA of 24/30.
Duration, organisation and tuition fees
Students can participate for one semester (in this case you must acquire at least 30 credits through course attendance and passing exams), or two semesters (and acquire at least 50 credits through course attendance, passing exams, and completing the internship - TPV).
The study plan must be agreed upon with the academic representatives of both institutions before the start of the mobility period.
Activities are conducted in English and Spanish.
Students participating in the double degree programme continue to pay their tuition fees to UniTrento.
Internship and practical test
Internship - Tirocinio pratico valutativo (TPV)
if you join the programme for 1 semester, you must carry out the internship (tirocinio pratico valutativo - TPV) at UniTrento;
if you join the programme for 2 semesters, you must carry out the internship (tirocinio pratico valutativo - TPV) at UAI.
In terms of characteristics, content and duration, the internship must comply with the provisions of the relevant regulation.
Practical test - Prova pratica valutativa
Upon completion of the internship, students must pass the Practical test (prova pratica valutativa, PPV).
The test can be carried out at UniTrento or at UAI (remotely connected to UniTrento) only in the case of two-semester mobility, which includes the internship.

Passing the test is a requirement for access to the discussion of the Master's thesis.
Thesis and qualifications
In case of a 2-semester mobility, the thesis may be carried out and discussed at UAI and must be supervised by professors from both institutions.
At the end of the double degree programme, the students will be awarded:
- a Master's Degree in Psychology (Department of Psychology) from UAI;
- a Master's Degree in Psychology (Department of Psychology and Cognitive Sciences) from UniTrento.
The Chilean qualification comes with the qualification to practice as a psychologist in Chile only for student who have obtained a bachelor's degree from UniTrento.
