To apply, candidates must have already obtained at least a first level degree or an equivalent foreign qualification.

Students who plan to graduate by 31 October 2024 may also be admitted. 

Up to 12 auditors without such qualification may be admitted, provided that they have gained significant professional experience in the field.

Master's students can enrol in other courses at the same time if the two courses meet the requirements established by the Ministry of University and Research (Ministerial Decree 930/2022, Articles 2 and 3). The Master's aims to offer adequate knowledge and an effective working method to students who are interested in acquiring legal, social and administrative skills variously related to the management of migrations, to face with the necessary competence the multiple problems posed by the reception and accompaniment of migrants in a variety of settings.

The participants, jurists and non-jurists from different backgrounds, can discuss and share views on the basis of their knowledge of the topics discussed in the course, which is based on a transversal approach.

The modules that make up the Master's Degree in fact follow one another to represent the different phases of the migrants' journey, from migratory routes to removal procedures to the acquisition of citizenship.

The Master's activities will take place from November 2024 to October 2025, with classroom activities taking place mainly in Trento at the Faculty of Law and the Department of Sociology and Social Research. Attendance is required for at least 70% of the classroom activities.

Students who have regularly participated in the master’s activities and passed the teaching assessment tests and the final paper will be awarded a First level Master's Degree.

Auditors cannot take exams, present the project work, or acquire university credits but will receive a certificate of attendance at the end of the course.

The registration fee is 3,500.00 euros (plus one 16.00 euros stamp duty) to be paid in two instalments, the first of 2,016.00 euros to confirm acceptance of the place, the second of 1,500.00 euros by 31 January 2025.

Eight scholarships will be awarded:

• 6 scholarships of 1,500.00 euros each, that include the exemption from the second instalment of the registration fee, will be awarded by the Master's Board to the candidates who will have obtained the best score in the selection phase,
• 2 scholarships of 2,000.00 euros each will be awarded by the Master's Board to the most deserving students to support the internship period, subject to their application and by the end of classes, taking into account the motivation and conditions of the internship they have chosen.

Any scholarships made available by external organizations will be awarded by the Master's Board based on merit, student profile, and the criteria established by the sponsoring organizations.

The registration fee for the admitted auditors is 1,000.00 euros (including the stamp duty of 16.00 euros), to be paid when candidates confirm the acceptance of the place.
