In the academic year 2025/26, the University of Trento launched a University education project for ten international students from conflict zones.

The project is aimed at people who are outside of Italian territory, come from a conflict zone and are unable to start or continue their university studies in safe conditions due to conflict, instability or danger.

Successful candidates will have access to a one-year university education programme (Foundation Year), during which they will be able to attend single courses and/or preparatory courses to possibly continue their university studies.

The 2025-2026 call for applications is now closed. 

The selection process has been completed, and candidates admitted to the project have been contacted by email.

The 2025-2026 call for applications received over 16,000 applications. Given the very high number of applications received, it is unfortunately not possible to provide feedback to individual candidates.
