Recognition of certificates for previous courses

If you already hold a General Training certificate issued, for example, by an upper secondary school, another university, or a previous employer, you can request its recognition.

To upload your certificate:

1. Log in to the Moodle course using your UniTrento credentials: Consegna certificati Sicurezza - Formazione Generale;
2. Check that your certificate meets the required criteria.
3. Upload the certificate in the “Upload” section of the selected course.

The University of Trento will verify the validity of the certificate. You will then receive an automatic notification via the Moodle platform.

Target group: the course is mandatory for all UniTrento students who, in their study plan, have classes in computer laboratories, and for those who will work as part-time collaborators ("150 hours" contracts) in University of Trento offices.

Final assessment: the course includes a final test. Upon passing, you will receive a certificate valid for 5 years, which allows you to take part in laboratory activities (computer labs) included in your study plan and to carry out "150-hour" collaboration activities in UniTrento offices.

Access requirements: to take the final test, you must have passed the UniTrento General Training Course or hold a certificate that has been duly validated by UniTrento.

If you already hold a Specific Training certificate equivalent to the one required by UniTrento for low risk, as well as any periodic refresher training certificates, issued for example by another university or a previous employer (excluding certificates issued by upper secondary schools), you can request their recognition.

2. Check that your certificate meets the required criteria.

Target group: the course is mandatory for all students at the University of Trento who attend laboratory courses included in their study plan and involving physical, chemical and biological risk assessment, or the use of laboratory equipment.

Mode: live on Zoom, with classes of max 30 participants.

Duration: 8 hours with at least 90% attendance required.

Languages: available in Italian and English.

Final assessment: those who pass the final test are allowed to participate in the laboratory activities included in their study plan, and obtain a certificate valid for 5 years.

Access requirements: to take the final test, you must have passed the General Training Course or hold a certificate that has been duly validated by UniTrento.

Recognition of certificates for medium risk training

If you already hold a Specific Training certificate for Medium or High Risk, equivalent to the one required by UniTrento for medium risk, along with any refresher training, obtained from other universities or research institutions, or from another employer (excluding certificates issued by upper secondary schools), you can request its recognition.

How to upload your certificate:

1. log in with your UniTrento credentials to the Moodle
   • Consegna certificati Sicurezza - Formazione specifica - Rischio medio;
   • Consegna certificati Sicurezza - Aggiornamento Formazione specifica;
2. verify that your certificate has the required characteristics;
3. upload your certificate in the "Upload" section of the relevant course.

The University of Trento will verify the validity of the certificate, and the user will receive an automatic notification from the Moodle platform.

Once the certificate is approved, you are exempt from the mandatory course (Specific Training - Medium Risk) and allowed to carry out laboratory or part-time collaboration activities.

Requirement: The course is mandatory for all students at the University of Trento who attend laboratory courses included in their study plan and involving physical, chemical or biological risks, or risks related to the use of laboratory equipment or other specific activities identified as high risk by the Department.

Format: In-person or synchronous online sessions via Zoom, with a maximum of 30 participants per session.

Duration: 12 hours, with a minimum attendance requirement of 90% of the lessons.

Languages: Available in both Italian and English.

Final assessment: The course includes a final test. Upon passing, you will receive a certificate valid for 5 years, which allows you to take part in the laboratory activities included in your study plan.

Prerequisites: To take the final test, you must have passed the General Training Course or hold a certificate that has been duly validated by UniTrento.
