Edvance is the first national Digital Education Hub focused on Advanced Digital Culture for higher education, created as part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP), Mission 4 - Education and research.

Coordinated by Politecnico di Milano, the project involves 17 universities and AFAM institutions that work together to create an integrated digital ecosystem to support university education and lifelong learning.

The Edvance platform offers over 200 free online courses, with open badges for the certification of skills, and promotes blended learning models that combine online and face-to-face learning and promote flexible, inclusive and customizable training.

In particular, Edvance aims to:

• develop advanced digital skills (AI literacy, data literacy, digital sustainability, transdisciplinary approaches);
• produce high quality MOOCs, integrated into blended programmes and supported by shared guidelines;
• train teachers and educational technologists to use teaching technologies effectively;
• create a national hub for digital learning, which collects and enhances the courses of partner universities;
• promote micro-credentials for the academic and professional recognition of acquired skills.

The University of Trento contributes with courses on artificial intelligence, computer science, teaching technologies, sustainable environment and development, and key competences and skills for students and professionals.

In addition, the University of Trento is at the forefront of Edvance pilot projects regarding AI for the teaching of MOOCs and the integration of MOOCs in blended teaching.
