The student contribution system at UniTrento provides for fee waivers and reductions on the basis of the students' economic status (ISEE Università) and merit, or on the basis of subjective or objective conditions provided for by law or by the governing bodies of the University.

Parte dei sostegni economici dedicati agli studenti provengono dal programma REACT-EU, attraverso l'Azione IV.2 del PON Ricerca e Innovazione 2014-2020, che aiuta gli studenti con difficoltà economiche a pagare le tasse universitarie. 

Grazie a questi fondi extra, molti studenti hanno potuto ottenere riduzioni o esenzioni complete dalle tasse annuali, rendendo l'università più accessibile.
