Testo

The University of Trento is committed to ensuring an inclusive study and work environment and to providing specific assistance and aids to all people with disabilities, specific learning disorders and special needs, including people with a temporary disability.

To allow everyone to fully participate in academic life and in the cultural and social opportunities it offers, the University has established an office that serves as the main point of contact to obtain information and support:

  • the Inclusion service for the student community
  • the Inclusion service for staff

The Service is available to the entire student community, including students enrolled in single courses, professional masters and international mobility programmes, and to all university staff, that is administrative and technical staff, teaching and research staff, contract staff and holders of scholarships and research grants.

Using the right words

Testo

The University of Trento promotes a culture of inclusion and respect, and recognizes language as one of the fundamental tools for building a welcoming and equal environment. The words we choose do not simply describe reality: they help shape it and can reflect stereotypes or become drivers for change. That is why UniTrento invites everyone to pay attention to language and to choose words that value people and not their conditions, especially when it comes to disability.

These guidelines offer practical advice for using language that respects and values all people, to contribute to a more equitable and inclusive communication.
