Course of Italian

The Language Centre of the University of Trento (CLA) offers two types of course in Italian each semester:

  • Intensive (held online in the autumn semester): at various levels, this course consists of daily lessons of 3 hours for 2 weeks (from Monday to Saturday), for a total of 50 academic hours.
  • Extensive (in person), at various levels, this course consists of two lessons a week of 3 academic hours each, for a total of 50 academic hours.

Information about enrolments, deadlines and timetables for the lessons are available on the CLA website.

Soft skills

The School of Innovation - SOI

To improve your soft skills the SOI - School of Innovation offers a number of extra-curricular, multidisciplinary activities focussed on innovation to a selected number of students.

You will have the opportunity to test your knowledge and skills in specific areas of innovation and entrepreneurship (e.g. business models, marketing, corporate strategy, brand development, intercultural negotiation, international alliances, intellectual property, etc.), working in teams in a dynamic context.

You can include courses of interest to you (most are held in person) in your Learning Agreement, provided you are accepted. 

If you obtain at least 12 ECTS from the courses offered by SOI, you will receive the final Certificate of Innovation.

Find a buddy

Thanks to this programme offered by the Erasmus Student Network (ESN), you can get in touch with an Italian student willing to help you during your initial period in Trento not only for a cultural exchange but also with advice and coffee.

A humorous workshop

In five asynchronous videos, Dominic Stewart, professor of Language and Linguistics at the Humanities Department, addresses the most common stereotypes people have of Italians and recounts bizarre stories of intercultural interactions.

Italian Cuisine

Italy is a country of art and history. It is well known for its cultural heritage and its cuisine is an important part of this. 

There is much more than pasta and pizza: from the Alps to the Mediterranean, Italy offers a vast range of recipes and every region has its own products and typical dishes.
