COURSE SUMMARY
The PhD programme in Economics and finance is designed for students interested in developing innovative and ambitious research topics in the economic and financial fields. The expertise of faculty members from the two participating universities ensures the achievement of the programme’s objectives and provides advanced training focused on economic and financial topics.
The programme also aims to participate in the network of educational initiatives of the Euregio European region, offering access to funding for events and mobility opportunities.
The programme is jointly run by the University of Trento and the Free University of Bolzano.

To apply for the PhD programme, you must have:
- a specialist or master's degree or a degree issued under the previous regulations;
- a second-level diploma awarded by higher-education institutions for the fine arts, music and dance (AFAM, Alta Formazione Artistica e Musicale);
- an equivalent academic qualification obtained abroad (master's degree) that allows admission to the PhD program in the education system or in the country of issue and that is considered suitable by the selection committee for the sole purpose of accessing the course.
Students who plan to graduate by 31 October 2024 are also eligible.

For this doctoral course the following are available:
- 7 places;
- 7 scholarships;
- 1 extra place for candidates who satisfy the requirements detailed in article 18, paragraph 3, of the Univeristy regulation on doctoral programmes.
