PhD Course
International Studies

COURSE SUMMARY
The Doctoral programme in International studies focuses on complex international phenomena, which often can only be understood by integrating different disciplines and exploring their interconnections.
Students learn to grasp the fundamental theoretical approaches underpinning the subjects that are key to International Studies—political science, law, and economics—and to apply their analytical tools and methods of empirical research.
The programme combines a solid foundation in one or more core disciplines with an openness to methodologies, concepts, and perspectives from other fields of study.
The curriculum includes methodological courses, multidisciplinary courses, an academic writing programme designed to enhance the ability to write scholarly texts in English, and training to present research findings effectively. The faculty also organizes a series of guest lectures, meetings with professionals working in international organisations, and short intensive courses aimed at strengthening soft skills.
