UniTrento shares the priorities of the Erasmus+ programme in its intention to promote equal opportunities, parity of access, inclusion, diversity and equality in all its actions.
For this reason, it guarantees access to international opportunities for participants from all types of contexts and evaluates the merit and motivation of candidates holistically.
Within the range of international opportunities available for students, UniTrento offers short-term mobility financed with Erasmus+ funds to enable participation by students who are unable to undertake long-term mobility.
UniTrento awards a specific grant for students with fewer opportunities according to national guidelines, and provides financial support for expenses for students and staff with specific physical, mental or health requirements under the call by the National Erasmus+ Agency, Indire.
It applies the same funding support to students with needs within other programmes offered by the university.
Under the Erasmus+ programme for outgoing study and traineeships K131, an additional contribution may be granted to students with fewer opportunities if:
- you are disadvantaged socio-economically (ISEE (means test) ≤ € 25.000);
- you suffer from medically certified health, physical or psychological problems;
- you are a migrant or refugee;
- you have dependent children below 18 years of age;
- you are a working student;
- you are a professional athlete;
- you are orphaned by at least one parent;
- you are the child of a victim of terrorism or organised crime.
The additional sum is 250 euro a month for long-term mobility, and 100 euro for short-term mobility up to 14 days and 150 euro for stays of between 15 and 30 days.
The term working student includes people who:
- have a paid position with a private company, including cooperatives and public bodies;
- work with co.co.co or co.co.pro contracts;
- self-employed people with a VAT number who must certify that they actually carry out this activity;
- a commercial, artisanal or agricultural business activity;
- the civil service.
You must provide a declaration in lieu of an affidavit which indicates the length of the period of work activity carried out (not less than three months, even if not continuous) in the twelve months preceding the deadline of the relevant Erasmus+ call, and which extends to the period of the expected mobility. The declaration must also contain:
- the name of your employer if you are employed by a company;
- the name of the entity with which you have co.co.co or co.co.pro contracts;
- your VAT number if you are self-employed, and the type of activity;
- data relating to registration with the Chamber of Commerce if you are a commercial or agricultural entrepreneur;
- proof of an annual income higher than that indicated by tax legislation showing that you are not dependent on another person for IRPEF purposes, including duly documented cases of work carried out in a family business.
